It's in base 6. I get the answers as on the solution sheet.
I've tried to take photos of my solutions with the carrying, but I can't work out how to post them into the reply.
3x2 = 6 which in base 6 is 10
2x5 = 10 which in base 6 is 14, so you put 4 in the ones and carry to the next column 5x1 +1 - 6 which is 10, so you get 104.
3x4 = 12 which is 20, write 0, carry 2 3x2 +2 = 8 which is 12 so 3x24 = 120
For 10x24, put a 0 in the ones then 1x24= 24 so 10x24 = 240
240+120 = 400 in base 6
